ANZAC Day in Ipoh, Perak at the Cenotaph in 1956.
The Cenotaph was restored in 2008 through the efforts of
Dato R. Thambipillay (Supt. Royal Malaysian Police Rtd)
and an annual service is now held commemorating those
who died in the two World Wars and the Malayan Emergency.
The personnel on parade were from 126 Tpt Pl RAASC,
the Australian component of 3Coy RASC.
This year's service on Friday, 11 June 2010 will be special,
marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the Emergency.
